Dr. Akiko Akanuma D.C.
Dr. Akiko, D.C. grew up in Tokyo, Japan then moved to California where she played water polo in high school. She attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Her love for sports was what first got her interested in becoming a chiropractor.
Dr. Akiko received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Southern California University of Health Sciences. She was heavily involved on campus working as Secretary for student government and the student-led California Chiropractic Association club.
Dr.Akiko treats all types of patients by tailoring care toward individual needs. She specializes in family, pediatric, and prenatal care. She is certified in Webster Technique with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
